It is more important than ever to play stories together. Stories bring us closer in a way precious few experiences can.
So when someone, not necessarily knowing what playing stories really is or what it can be like, has the courage to give it a shot, be supportive! Nurture and guide their experience in a positive way. Bring them in the fold and help show them how amazing playing stories can be!
It may not seem like much, but that act of kindness can have tremendous ripple effects on a person’s life. Veteran players, think of it this way: what if you never played a role playing game before and a person’s kindness was the deciding factor in you keeping playing or walking away? How much happiness, fulfillment, and community would you be missing out on?
