No Pressure!
I want to get this out of the way early. You definitely do not have to feel the pressure to be creative when you jump in and are about to play your first tabletop role-playing game. At the end of the day, the table should be able to accommodate whatever you feel comfortable with. So please don’t feel any pressure on yourself to get up or make any highfalutin speeches or anything like that. You don’t have to improv. You don’t have to make all these insanely clever maneuvers around the table.
From the start, your number one mission is to just sit there and be comfortable, ingratiate yourself with a group of people around you, and have a wonderful time playing a story.
